The 222 is the ultimate in Featherweight sewing. The addition of the tubular convertible bed feature or "free arm" increases its versatility to accomplish crosswise or diagonal sleeve detail, applying cuffs, finishing sleeve ends, setting sleeves, stitching waistline details, setting zippers, seaming dresses, shirts, trousers, or slacks, patching, making slip covers, monogramming pockets and cuffs, and any type of stitching within curved or cylindrical areas. The feed dogs may also be lowered to allow one to perform free motion embroidery and endless quilting options.
